Migrate Existing Data

Now you need to decide if you have data

that you want to migrate from tags or

from product types. And you can open the

tag migrator and the product type

migrator right here in the onboarding

guide. Now, the tag migrator, if you're

not sure if you have to migrate tags or

not, the nice thing is when you open up

the tag migrator, it's going to show you

all the tags in your existing store and

be able to look at them and say, "Oh,

here's tags that I want to turn into

meta fields or here's tags that I want

to turn into product categories." And

there's a whole detailed uh series of

tutorials on the different ways to

migrate tags. Each of these tutorials

will walk you through that whole

process. and you'll be able to, you

know, migrate a tag to a category or to

a meta field. Now, the same thing is

true for product types. If you open up

the migrate product types tool, it'll

show you all the product types that are

in your store. And if you select on one,

you'll get to decide if you want to

migrate it to a meta field or to a

category. And again, there's a tutorial

here to walk you through the details of

that process.
